Signs the Mind Body Connection is Missing

Surprisingly, the mind and body disconnect every day.  We lose awareness, grow tired, and lose our sense of self the further and further mind and body separate.

Surprisingly, the mind and body become disconnected every day.  We lose awareness, grow tired, and lose our sense of self the further and further mind and body separate.  I go through on a monthly basis, everything time I work on a new play.  Suddenly, my life isn't my own.  Self-care goes by the wayside as my number one focus is the actors, their clothes, and the wardrobe crew.  My body grows tired, but my mind screams "soldier on!"  This leads to sleeplessness, poor eating, and a sadness I just can't quell.  

Five Steps to Overcome Multitasking

Our society is built on multitasking.  The more you do, the more gold stars you earn on the imaginary score card of twenty-first century living.  Conditioned to push through each day, packing as many tasks and accomplishments in as possible, we are the real life Energizer Bunnies.  But, with all of this multitasking, how do we fit in the basics?  There is no longer time to rest, digest, and ruminate with a single activity or feeling.  We are so wired on accomplishing goals, our brains are stuck in stress mode, meaning the littlest issues feel life threatening.
